It started to really feel like a frustrating waste of time, and time is not something a mother of 2 young children with a job has much of to start with.īeth Moore is a very popular contemporary female voice in the world of Christian women today, and basically this is a book about how to love Jesus, namely, that we should love him "audaciously". I tried, I wanted to finish it just because I am a perfectionist and hate not finishing something, even a movie or book that I am not enjoying. Unfortunately, that's the only thing I like about it, and even that couldn't keep me reading until the last page despite the fact, as the author herself states in the opening pages, that it's a short enough book that hopefully you will manage to finish it even if you don't want to. I am a very tactile person and have an (annoying, ask my husband) habit of rubbing two pages together when I read, and this book was fabulous in that regard. The pages are thick and silky, the text is printed in a burgundy and deep green that is both soothing and elegant and even the dust jacket is thick and rich in color and quality.

physically, if you are a visual and tactile personal, this is a lovely book to hold and read. Ultimately I went with 2 stars because after writing most of my review, I couldn't think of more than one thing that I really like about this book. I went back and forth between 2 stars and 3 stars.
